Update: The 2 government departments repeat the 35-foot satellite fell sometimes in between 11:23 p.m. EDT and 1:09 a.m. EDT. NASA stated it didn’t know the specific time or location yet.
Some 26 pieces of the satellite – comprising 1,200 pounds of heavy metal – had been likely to rain straight down somewhere. The largest surviving chunk should not be greater than 300 pounds.
